Today's Pictures

I took a few photographs this morning in the back yard just to practice with depth of field (DOF). Depth of field is how much of your photograph is in focus.

The picture below has a shallow depth of field as everything except the tree branch in front of the camera is out of focus.
I love this statute in my garden...it's really fun to photograph as well...a little creepy too, if you imagine that they might be Weeping Angels.

I LOVE this photography thing!

Even though I'm SO new at this DSLR thing, I'm really loving it. I think I'm getting better at composing shots and feel like I'm getting more good shots on purpose, as opposed to luck. Here's some pictures I took in our backyard (and our neighbor's) this afternoon:

This last one I took yesterday morning...our irises are finally blooming!
